And it’s a privilege to represent one-of-a-kind works on behalf of fellow collectors, artists, and estates here on GraphFix Art, as well as host the industry’s top dealers, auction houses, artists, and collectors at GraphFix Con.
My name is Zaddick Longenbach. I have been a collector of original art since acquiring my first drawing back in 1986. Shortly after that first acquisition, I shifted my focus from comic books to original art, going to shows like Creation Con here in NYC, Chicago Comic Con, and San Diego Comic Con among others to set-up, and at times find a personal acquisition of interest. During those early years, I saved up for special pieces at Christie’s and Sotheby’s auctions, as well as the renowned Illustration House.
After being a client for some time of Illustration House I was asked to join as a curator, where for over a decade, alongside Walt and Roger Reed, two of the foremost experts in the field dealt directly with consignors, curated auctions, and organized private shows. One of my highlights at IH was managing and curating The Frank Thorne retrospective, an experience that led to me becoming Frank’s art agent for his entire body of work.
Over the years, I have privately brokered from single works to large-scale collections, for both private collectors and major institutions. Most recently, I launched an original-art-only show in NYC, which I rebranded last year as GraphFix Con. a dedicated event for dealers, artists, and auction houses who share a passion for the medium.
If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m a collector pretending to be a dealer.
It’s well overdue but I’m happy to finally get a website started to view my offerings publicly.
